I don't think delegates were mad they couldn't burn it all down. I think they were frustrated at another primary without a choice. A little bit of a bad taste left from how the Harris campaign unfolded. In the end a super majority voted to endorse. And I believe that those that voted for Layne were hoping to send a message that a move left would be beneficial more than they were thinking she has a shot in the primary. Hopefully everyone can have productive conversations and we can land with a truly representative governor's office. But I think in the end the left wing of the party (which is at least 35% and likely more as I see myself as left and pragmatically voted for Klobuchar) hopes to get more input in how things go. And that seems fair.

Sorry, but this reads like the same Democratic Party Insider Mass Delusion that told us “Biden’s age isn’t a problem. Get on board or get lost!” before the former President kneecapped his party’s primary and his own hand-picked successor’s run. I’ll do what I can to help Klobuchar get elected — she IS the endorsed candidate after all — but she needs to learn that people are fed up with the status quo, that she has contributed to the status quo, and that she needs to actually listen directly to her own voters about the issues that matter to them. A healthy town hall discussion would do her immense good.

Someone who was mostly unheard of within greater MN (Layne) getting 27.5% of the delegate votes is not something to dismiss. It's a sign that folks are fed up. The reason Amy "wins" is that she's centrist like a corporate CEO - saying the most bland thing possible, and avoiding questions where she might have to take a stand where she might piss people off.

Sure, she has the nomination, but I think folks are going to put their time/energy/$$$ towards getting the progressive, endorsed candidates for the legislature pushed through.

I want MN leaders who are less milquetoast, more Mamdani-style.
